Bring your courage and your kindness
Call me Pigeon.
For many years I lived with depression, but I didn't call it that. Instead, the critic within told me I was too lazy, too sensitive, too dumb and too chubby to be acceptable. Occasionally this would spur me into action. I'd get to the gym, I'd eat better, I'd score grades I was proud of. Other times, it would only compound my belief that I wasn't good enough. That I was always at least one button shy from a complete ensemble of a human, and this made me unlovable.
This blog is about the courage and kindness it takes to learn how to love ourselves as we are, and to fully accept our place in this beautiful world.
